Below you will find educational opportunities for Orthodontists as well as other resources for orthodontic meetings and education.

PCSO Regional Meetings

In conjuntion with PCSO the California Association of Orthodontists (CAO) periodically hosts continuing education programs at teh Central + Southern Regional Meetings, where up to four credits are available per 9AM - 1PM time frame, including breakfast and a morning break. Both clinical and non-clinical topics are covered.

CAO in Association with PCSO's Annual Session

Typically, when the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO) Annual Session is in California, CAO sponsors an additional half- to one-day program for Staff and Doctors, with up to 5 CE credits available, depending on the topic.

Study Groups or Clubs

These local groups meet and learn through case discussions as well as bring in speakers important to local orthodontists. Contact your local dental society or orthodontists in your area to see if there are Study Clubs near you.

Locum Tenens

Whether new to practice, working part-time, or semi-retired, another way to stay current with practice techniques is to request to be placed on CAO's Locum Tenens or Substitute Doctor list. If you are interested in Locum Tenes, please contact Merleen Holman (mholman@aaortho.org) or (888) 424-2841 Ext 587 at the AAO.

Online Credits for General Dentistry

Listed below are opportunities to obtain credits online. CAO does not endorse the following.  The selection process for these on-line opportunities remains the Doctor's responsibility.
