What CA Orthodontists Can Do

Members of the California Association of Orthodontists who want to get more involved with dental insurance plans that affect orthodontic practice in California have a number of avenues available to them:

Get Informed

You can find news and updates on Delta Dental and other insurance plans in the "Insurance" section of the CAO Web site and in the CAO's California Orthodonist.

For the latter, you may want to check both the most recent issue and the archives.

You may also want to visit the following websites:

Delta Dental: www.deltadentalca.com
Denti-Cal: www.dhs.cahwnet.gov
California Children's Services: www.dhs.ca.gov/pcfh/cms/ccs/
California insurance and dental plan news: California Dental Association

Contact CAO

If you recognize problems that are not being addressed or want to help with CAO's efforts to deal with them, contact either:

Volunteer

There are no specific openings now on the Access To Care Committee, but CAO members and their orthodontic staff are encouraged to download and submit a doctor or staff volunteer form.

Volunteers who submit forms will be considered when leadership opportunities become available.

Contact Insurers

Of course, you can contact insurers directly (see the websites above) on specific issues, but it may be helpful to have CAO providing support.
